Totally captivating, Barcelona combines avant-garde and tradition with spectacular architecture and scenery. In it Gaudí merges with the Gothic, gastronomy displays all its exquisite complexity and art (including that of having fun) always plays a leading role. The illustrious Catalan capital is home to ancient Roman ruins, masterpieces of modern art, Gothic palaces, modernist buildings and one of the most revered football stadiums in the world.

What to visit around

The Gothic Quarter and the Borne

The Gothic Quarter and the Borne are the oldest areas and historic centers of the city. The structure of the neighborhood was almost intact until the XIX century, when the old medieval walls were brought down and the parish cementeries were transformed into public squares.

Palau de la Música Catalana

The architect Luis Domenech i Muntaner built the Palau de la Música Catalana between 1905 and 1908 as place for the Orfeó Català to sing and perform. The Palau is a symbolic and sentimental emblem of Barcelona, and its Concert Hall has been a scene for the concert life of the city.

Art District

And finally, the recently named neighborhood of “TrafalgArt”, which is becoming the destination for lovers of art and culture.
