Projecte Galeria SENDA
La Galeria SENDA se situa en una antiga casa-fàbrica de teixits del segle XIX, integrada amb una planta baixa comercial d’un edifici propi de l’Eixample de Barcelona, entre el carrer de Sant Pere Més Alt i l’antiga muralla de la ciutat. L’accés es realitza des del carrer Trafalgar, sobre el traçat històric de la muralla.
La intervenció arquitectònica proposa un únic espai continu de 41 metres lineals, sense fragmentacions, que articula totes les funcions de la galeria: aparador urbà, sala expositiva, projecció de nous formats, espai de coneixement, gestió artística i magatzem.
La rehabilitació respecta el caràcter original de l’espai, preservant-ne l’estructura i l’atmosfera històrica. S’han emprat materials sobris i envellits, acer negre, fusta sense tractar i lluminàries industrials, per ressaltar el parament blanc perimetral de 330 cm d’alçada, pensat com a suport neutre per a les obres. Al fons, aquest mur es transforma en un espai dedicat al coneixement, amb llibres i catàlegs que recullen la trajectòria de la galeria SENDA.

La Galería SENDA se sitúa en una antigua casa-fábrica de tejidos del siglo XIX, integrada con una planta baja comercial de un edificio propio del Ensanche de Barcelona, entre la calle Sant Pere Més Alt y la antigua muralla de la ciudad. El acceso se realiza desde la calle Trafalgar, sobre el trazado histórico de la muralla.
La intervención arquitectónica propone un único espacio continuo de 41 metros lineales, sin fragmentaciones, que articula todas las funciones de la galería: escaparate urbano, sala expositiva, proyección de nuevos formatos, espacio de conocimiento, gestión artística y almacén.
La rehabilitación respeta el carácter original del espacio, preservando su estructura y atmósfera histórica. Se han empleado materiales sobrios y envejecidos, acero negro, madera sin tratar y luminarias industriales, para resaltar el paramento blanco perimetral de 330 cm de altura, concebido como soporte neutro para las obras. Al fondo, este muro se transforma en un espacio dedicado al conocimiento, con libros y catálogos que recogen la trayectoria de la Galería SENDA.

The SENDA Gallery is located in a former 19th-century textile house-factory, integrated with the ground floor of an Eixample-style building in Barcelona, between Sant Pere Més Alt Street and the city’s old wall. Access is through Trafalgar Street, following the historic layout of the wall.
The architectural intervention proposes a single continuous space of 41 linear meters, without fragmentation, articulating all the gallery’s functions: urban showcase, exhibition hall, projection of new formats, knowledge space, art management, and storage.
The renovation respects the original character of the space, preserving its structure and historic atmosphere. Sober and timeworn materials, black steel, untreated wood, and industrial lighting, have been used to enhance the 330 cm-high white perimeter wall, designed as a neutral backdrop for the artworks. At the back, this wall transforms into a knowledge area, featuring books and catalogues that trace the trajectory of the SENDA Gallery.
